This board uses the well-proven Mini-Circuits PGA-103+ LNA plus two AXICOM HF353 high power relays (40 W @ 3 GHZ) to make a TR switch in case the LNA should be switched out of circuit during transmitting with high power.

There are 2 additional smaller RF relays (OMRON G6K-2P-Y) in order to increase the isolation during transmit. The combined losses of all 4 relays are minimal for lower frequencies so higher RF power can by passed during transmitting. The losses increase at about 1 GHZ (0.4 dB) mainly because of the smaller OMRON relays. 

If the PCB Module is left not powered the "Antenna" connector connects with the output ("XCVR" Connector). If powered with 12 VDC, it draws around 190 mA and all relays energize and connect the antenna side the the LNA input and the receiver side to the LNA output.

A voltage regulator provides increased input DC voltage range. There is also a direct 5V DC post on the PCB, just after the voltage regulator. This can be used to borrow DC power for something else or direct feed the LNA with 5VDC.

The item is factory soldered and requires no assembly. It ships just as pictured encased in a die-cast aluminum weather protected box.
