Aluminium die-cast weather-proof box
Reverse polarity protection
Discharge resistor at the RF line to ground
A DC injector (BIAS-Tee) is often used to make the antenna coaxial cable carry a DC voltage from/to the radio shack to/from the antenna, without needing a second separate DC cable.
One unit can be used at the shack for sending the DC power and a second unit on the antenna site getting the DC to feed a preamp/amp or converter. The RF performance is not compromised.
